We had a hard fought loss today to Miss. St. and he got to pinch hit at the end of the game. Does he get the start behind the plate tomorrow? We really need his bat back in the lineup right now.

doubtful. Different coming in and batting in the 9th and catching a full game...

I don't know why he would hurt after that AB.

If we make the weekend he might catch 4 or 5 innings, but I wouldn't think he would start behind the plate until next Friday.

i was thinking the same thing.. doesn't take a lot of effort to stand in the batter's box and take three strikes...

I doubt he was hurt, but I felt for Ty having to go in there as a pinch hitter, instead of starting the game like he usually does, against one of the SEC's best starting pitchers, esp. since he had not played for a while before that at bat.

He didn't face Stratton.

I'd try and let him get at least a couple at bats as a DH just to see some live arms and get used to game situations again. He needs all the swings he can get before the Regional, IMO. He will not squat though.

Hell no. Tomorrows game is basically meaningless. It's all about the regionals & they won't risk a hernia.

World of difference between playing DH and C. I think they might start him at DH. No way he plays C.

Don't even risk that. Keep the eyes on the prize, & that's Omaha. We won't make a deep run in the real tourney w/o a healthy Ross behind the dish.
