re: LSU Summer Baseball Stats (Updated thru 7/23)
Posted by Bayoutiger2 on 7/22/15 at 1:07 pm to More beer please
Hopefully these stats are just the result of playing a long season with LSU then jumping directly into summer ball. My guess is that these guys are probably having a tough time finding motivation after such a long year. Maybe they just want a break? :dunno:
Whatever it is, let's hope these guys pull it together before fall practice starts!

NL ROTY is close between Bryant and Pederson. Pederson got off to a hot start but by season's end I think the award will belong to Bryant.

Jackson's ESPN recruiting profile says he ran 4.69 at last years Opening (I know, ESPN recruiting services= BS). Assuming that time was reported correctly, I'm curious as to how he knocked .45 seconds off of his 40 in just over a year's time. Not saying he didn't actually post a 4.24, I just think that's a huge jump. Glad he plays for us!

Trade Advice for Standard Scoring League (10 Team)
Posted by Bayoutiger2 on 9/23/14 at 11:43 pm
I feel pretty solid about my team right now. The only thing that concerns me is my lack of WR depth. Below is my team.
Starters:
QB- Jay Cutler
RB- DeMarco Murray
RB- Gio Bernard
WR- Demaryius Thomas
WR- Randall Cobb
TE- Delanie Walker
Flex- Emmanuel Sanders
Bench:
1. Joique Bell
2. Steven Jackson
3. Fred Jackson
4. Torrey Smith
5. Colin Kaepernick
6. Josh Gordon (Trying not to drop him for now)
In the proposed trade, I would be sending Joique Bell and Fred Jackson in return for Keenan Allen and Toby Gerhart. The only way I'll ever use either of those rb's is if one of my starters gets hurt (somewhat likely with Murray) but I think getting Keenan Allen gives me another option week to week at the flex if he picks his game up. Having a tough time making a decision so I was looking for some more opinions.

Basketball Team Dunk Contest

I saw an article about this yesterday and found the video today. I know it's still football season and I'm excited for all the things we can still accomplish but this video gets the basketball juices flowing a little. Sorry if Germans.

Someone told me today that he plays baseball as well as football and that he has a chance to be drafted after his senior year. Is this true? If so, I'm hoping he passes up that opportunity to play football for the purple and gold!

re: Who is going to be the better CB in the NFL? PP7 or Mo?
Posted by Bayoutiger2 on 7/1/12 at 11:09 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
PP7 is one of the, if not the most athletically gifted player in the NFL. He had a hell of a rookie season and he's only going to get better so I'll go with him but Mo will have a great career. LSU will be well represented in the defensive backfield in the NFL for years to come!

Does Ty Ross get the start tomorrow?
Posted by Bayoutiger2 on 5/23/12 at 3:28 pm
We had a hard fought loss today to Miss. St. and he got to pinch hit at the end of the game. Does he get the start behind the plate tomorrow? We really need his bat back in the lineup right now.

I was shocked when I read this story. Couldn't be more proud of a great guy and a great tiger! This is the article I read when I first found out about this story last night.

What are our chances with Cord Sandberg?
Posted by Bayoutiger2 on 5/18/12 at 12:25 am
I know there have been a ton of threads about our QB prospects lately but they seem to be more focused on Johnson, Ferguson and Kincade. What are our chances with Sandberg though? I've watched his film and he looks like a pretty special player. In my opinion he looks better than the other three listed above so why hasn't he been talked about as much?

One film that doesn't get a lot of mention is Teshadi Talton. By no means am I saying it was the best, but it is very good considering that he was playing at West Monroe.

re: no offer for Mark Laird.....OCS................really.............
Posted by Bayoutiger2 on 5/15/12 at 10:00 pm to tigerfan1974
I've seen Laird play a few times over his career both in baseball and football. In regards to football, he is tall enough and fast enough to play at LSU. He also has great hands. He will need a few years in the weight room to put on some bulk before he ever makes a contribution to the team. As for baseball, I think his future is in centerfield. He is very rangy and he would definitely help us on the base paths. His production in high school is unquestioned, but to say he was a better high school wr than anyone on our roster may be a bit of a stretch. He is a good character guy that will have a positive impact on whatever team he lands on.
