i think OVERALL, football requires the most mental work out of those 3

Thats my opinion, but I have a couple of friends that I always argue about this with.

the baseball niche will be in here shortly
now, there are some incredibly demanding positions in baseball, namely the battery. batting is very psychological
there are also some easy arse football postilions, namely CB and DT
OVERALL i don't see how football can be behind baseball. the playbooks and constant, in-play adjustments are not found in baseball at nearly the same rate. baseball is very static in nature, with some incredibly intense rushes of mental requirements

I'v met some REALLY smart guys playing baseball....but don't let that fool you. You don't have to be a genius to succeed. It seems like the more goofy or clueless a guy is the farther he gets in the game.

I thought the laughing emoticon implied he was joking.

Football just has so many moving parts in every play, I think its easily the toughest mentally.
All of the things baseball guys point to get to be decided before the ball is put in play most of the time. The thing I love about baseball is watching the teams and players execute situations and scenarios when everyone on the field, and really everyone in the park knows what's coming. I think calling a game as a catcher could be very mentally taxing though, and could be right up there with the requirements on a QB.

Hence the phrase "empty head, full bat".

No shite. It was more of the stereotype/cliche he was implying for the mouthbreathers.

it's up there, but it's not near the level of a QB
