Assuming is the same as the ones in Austin......It's tex mex. Get whatever you would normally get at a tex mex joint. It's all the same shite.

Its the same one that's in Austin but Austin has the original location. The one on Westheimer/Kirby has been there for 20 or 30 years so its no newbie.

When I started going I always went for the special of the day to try something new.

The chica chica boom boom is good and so is the big as yo face burrito. Actually you really can't go wrong there

One in Dallas has the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo which is pretty sweet. The Elvis statue in the water feature adds to the overall experience.

I ate at the one on Westheimer near the Beltway on Monday...
I ordered a Steak Burrito---> DO NOT GET.
The steak was a canned steak and gravy type of deal. It was not very good.

Ms. Nimble got the grilled chicken salad. Looked ok.

The Queso Dip was :meh:

I think the Chuychanga is supposed to be good.

Chuy's is a chain so the food snobs on here will bash it. Pfft...

Creamy Jalapeno Salsa is the shite. Have to ask for it.

Hatch Green Chilli ANYTHING is usually pretty good and hot.

Queso Catfish is not on the menu but you can ask for it. Big assed batter fried catfish covered in cheese.

Specials of the day are usually good. Chilli Fest is a good time also. Can't remember when that is. They roast the chillis right there. And food with them is spicier.

Chuy's sucks!

Far better Mexican chains here in Houston...Pappasitos, Lupe Tortilla, etc.

As mentioned earlier El Tiempo Cantina is the place you should go.

Chuy's is great, but cheap tex mex. There's much better mexican food out there, especially in Houston, but you can't beat the Chuy's price. Also, the creamy jalepeno salsa is delicious!

Chuy's is solid. I'm sure, being a chain, the food is better at some locations than at others. I've only eaten at the Dallas Knox-McKinney location and the original in Austin. Hula Hut in Austin is a Chuy's owned place and is good too.
