Im thinking about getting one but they are pretty steep in price and I just don't want to get one, not like it, and be out about $75 on a holster.

Im looking for a good IWB holster and Im hearing a lot of buzz about these Crossbreeds.

Here's my CBSTD:

The Minotaur MTAC is of a similar design but not quite as good as the CB, in my opinion. The good thing about it is that you can change out the gun body portion, so you don't have to buy multiple holsters for different guns.

I just ordered a mini-tuck for a colt mustang. All of the reviews I see are great but I have not had one myself. If I like it I am going to get one for a glock 19 as well.

How well do they work under just a t-shirt?

They work great, just get a decent belt and it should be fine. Get the horse hide combat cut model. I purposefully did not get to minotaur because it is a blatant rip off.

I have one for my G23 and it is the only holster I ever found that was comfortable to wear concealed with the G23 assuming I had a good gun belt on with it.

Can you buy the gun body portion only on their website......if you can I'm not smart enough to find it evidently....depending on the price I migh think about ordering the shell for my LCP.

Honestly I've had mine for over a year but IIRC the wait was stated on the site at like 6 weeks when I bought mine but I think I actually received it in like 3 weeks.......honestly not bad in my oppinion for a hand made product especially given the amount of orders that I assume they get based on the number of sites that list them as sponsors and the number of great reviews they have.

Im sure they list a 6 week wait just to be conservative. Probably saves them a buncha phone calla.

the Crossbreed is a rip-off of another holster, none of these styles are 'new' by any means.

I don't know enough about Crossbreed to know who they ripped off, but I'll certainly agree that none of the styles are new; seems like the last REALLY "new" holster was the "Pancake" holsters pioneered by Roy Baker back in the early 70's.

That's my experience, as well. Although I don't own a CB, they are very well liked. I've nothing against CB, I just like leather, not Kydex.

Yeah, waiting for a custom holster. like Crossbreed, is a real pain..... Of my 4 custom holsters, I've had to wait form 4-9 weeks, but the wait has always been worth it!

Yeah, CB holsters are not cheap by any means, but $75 is pretty common for a custom holster. If you need to save a few bucks, you might check out these folks.

As I said earlier, I'm a leather guy. If you become interested in a leather IWB holster, let me know and I'll gladly provide some insight.

I'm close... very close... to ordering one. I am in desperate need of a new IWB holster.

Now, my question... Is combat cut necessary? Does it make it less comfortable?

And, is the horsehide worth the extra $$?

I was looking at that the other day. I don't see any advantage to it.
