Movies That Restored Your Sense Of Wonderment.....

What movie jumped up and unexpectedly grabbed your attention and sense of wonderment?
It rarely happens to me anymore but I have to thank Afreaux for pimping INK.
Primer to an extent but it made my head hurt more than leave me wanting more.
List some movies that restored your faith in motion pictures.
I will list one that NOBODY will agree with. For some reason the oddity that is The Box actually kept my full attention. I get why people hated it, but I loved every weird moment and could have watched another two hours. Well, as long as it wasn't two hours of Cameron Diaz and her horrible accent.

Second-hand Lions. It was nice to see an actual well-told, captivating story again.
Finding Neverland. Just a magical movie IMO.
And an old one that I watched for the first time a few years ago: Gone with the Wind. OMG this was a great movie. Kept my attention for four hours from 1 am to 5 am. I could not fall asleep.

A long time ago: Cinema Paradiso (rewatching rekindles that feeling.)

Good one. It does the same for me.
Will also throw out: The Mission. Morriconne's score it fantastic and awe-inspiring.

Perfect.
Will add "Enchanted" and "The Muppets", which were really cute, plus I suspect Amy Adams has a wondrous twat.

Oh, and Princess Bride, which I'm ashamed I missed the first time.

Close Encounters definitely amazed me as a kid. Lots of good choices mentioned.

I was a jaded 18 year old tough guy who thought he was past all of that.
