exactly. Why don't people get that he just has to be slightly above average and we kill everybody

People say, "Yeah, that's what we thought last year," and I'm thinking, "exactly!"

We DID have slightly above average QB play (and sometimes slightly worse) for 13 games and posted the most impressive season in the history of college football. We had abysmal QB play in 2 games against the second best team in the country and still went 1-1 in those games, beating them on their own field.

Any QB who can consistently perform above average will make us the odds on favorite for the championship. An inconsistent QB who chooses the right games to have his bad days (like, say, Towson and Idaho rather than Bama and the National Championship Game) could be just a successful, but I really don't like sweating out the luck on that anymore.
