You should get 6 Hipoint 9mms, that way you can just throw them away.

I like my ruger sr9c a lot. I think it was around $400. My next gun will be a glock 19.

carry options also important - my personal fav is a glock 19 with a CompTac kydex holster which is extremely easy to conceal. Or you could go with the 26 with mag extensions.

Springfield XDM 9MM. Go to Auctionarms on Internet, search for 9MMs, see what they go for new and used, and get a great average going rate. You can register to bid or do a "buy it now", have it sent to an FFL near you and Pow, you are in business.

The one that fits your hand and that you can operate and shoot accurately.

Everyone will have an opinion on the best but it's all up to personal fit and feel. Go somewhere where you can rent and shoot a few difference styles/manufacturers.

G19 or for sub conceal carry g26. if you want a pocket 9mm a Kahr cw9. Those really need some breaking in. End thread. I have bought and sold others. the only other i may consider is a px4 Storm subcompact.
