If these changes are made we win the national championship this year.......

1. Austin Nola(BB/K ration is killer, he works the pitcher)
2. Arby Fields(not enough ABs to put at leadoff)
3. Ralph Rhymes(no doubt best hitter on team)
4. Jacoby Jones(just because he is faster than Katz)
5. Mason Katz
6. Ty Ross
7. Grant Dozar(RH pitcher), Jordy Snickeris(LH pitcher)
8. Jared Foster(worst hitter in lineup, great defensive OF) only until Alex Edward is healthy
9. Tyler Hanover(#9 batter is a 2nd leadoff)

Jared Foster is not a great defensive outfielder, dude never played of in his life prior to LSU

You really want Ralph batting third

Not bad, but I'll let Mainieri make the lineup

we need speed at the top Nola doesn't have it.

2. Arby Fields(not enough ABs to put at leadoff)

good spot

3. Ralph Rhymes(no doubt best hitter on team)

good spot

4. Jacoby Jones(just because he is faster than Katz)

he isn't a clean up hitter I like him at lead off cause as you said he is fast

quote:

5. Mason Katz

2nd best hitter only spot that works for him is 4th (for power) or 3rd to get on for rhymes

quote:

6. Ty Ross

not a bad spot

quote:

7. Grant Dozar(RH pitcher), Jordy Snickeris(LH pitcher)

can snickeris play first?

quote:

8. Jared Foster(worst hitter in lineup, great defensive OF) only until Alex Edward is healthy

so he should be 9th to help average

9. Tyler Hanover(#9 batter is a 2nd leadoff)

not true

I would say

1. Fields (he is hitting well and is fast) (CF)
2. Jones (his speed is only why I put him here) (2B)
3. Rhymes (usually you put your hottest batter in this spot) (DH)
4. Katz (our best power hitter) (RF)
5. Nola (raps up the heart of the order nicely) (SS)
6. Hanover (3B)
7. Ty Ross (C)
8. Dozar or Moore (1st)
9. Foster (worst hitter, but 9 hole usually gets the best pitches to hit) (LF)

I trust CPM anyway so I'm sure his lineup will be killer.

FIFY. do not want Dozar in the lineup and Moore has looked really good of late.

I'd go with Fields first, and Nola 2nd....after that obviously Rhymes in Katz either 3rd or 4th. Can't understand anyone wanting Jacoby hitting higher than 5th. Dude hasn't been hitting well and is way too aggressive at the plate.

Why was Arby Fields on the bench at the beginning of this year? He may not have a ton of at bats but he already has 16 hits and a .480 on base percentage. He seems to be really good defensively and offensively. How are guys like Sciambre and Foster better than him? Those guys on base percentages are in the low 300's. I understand Fields may not be a starter but how did he not get a start now and then on the weekends?
