Had 8 of these little fellows in my flower beds at my house. Not sure what kind they are. Whats the OB say?

Looks like a large worm and you need to do yard work more.
Probably just a type of Garter snake.

Google is my friend. Found this info. He was exactly like the description on this page, even where I found them.

Looks like a very blurry Dekay's (Brown) Snake, or a Redbelly Snake.

Yeah thats what I think. The link I posted has Dekayl in the scientific name so I think you are right.

This...
They do eat earthworms. So if you want those in your garden relocate the snakes.

Just googled those and that makes sense also. Look just like them and I have a BUNCH of earthworms.

Brown snakes actually have keeled scales where as the Worm Snakes have smooth scales. Both snakes eat worms and are likely to be found in your flower bed.
Your snake looks more like a Eastern Worm snake than a Brown Snake.

As a kid in Houston, I used to see those all the time. Now that I've lived in the woods for the past 22 yrs, I don't recall ever seeing more than one or two out here

Haven't seen a green tree snake in a long time. Your picture or did you find that on the net?
Posted on 4/15/12 at 5:57 pm to GRIZZ
I took that at the end of my drieway yesterday

Husband/Resident snake expert of the house thinks it's a rough earth snake (Virginia striatula). He says they're much easier to find than the Eastern Worm Snake, and every garden in LA has them.
GRIZZ--he said he hasn't found a rough green snake like the one in the above pic in BR in a long time either, but has seen them in north LA, MS, and even part of Livingston Parish.
