I found this gem on youtube. I made sure to comment on it, and apparently several agree. How many illegal hits can you find in this video? Hits on Favre with outstanding theme music.

During that game I was thinking how surprising it was that they werent calling late hits. A couple of them could have been called but its the playoffs and a championship game..Im glad they let them play. Favre made a bunch of good plays in that game but just like he always did when it counted the most he choked.

Lol, that video contained 1 illegal hit. The High-low. He even uploaded hits that weren't even remotely later or even hard, someone mad they lost.

His other 3 youtube videos are about Jessie Ventura. These Viking fans are priceless.

Funny you post this I watched the entire game I still have it on DVR, I didn't see one hit that was illegal even Troy aikman of all people said they were good legal hits, farve did get his arse kicked though he's gotta be one tough SOB to be able to finish that game as many times as he got drilled
Posted on 4/7/12 at 10:46 pm to CocoLoco
Ironic that the only illegal hit was committed by current Viking player Remi Adoyele.....
Stupid pussy arse Vikings fans

Vikings are so butthurt. Comments from that vid:
This one non-vikes comment made me laugh:
quote:
cause the nfl wanted the saints in the super bowl. they were sick of favre and looked the other way, seeing as the hurricane katrina storyline would? make profit.
quote:
Oh, and I guess the refs were in on the conspiracy and cheating too by not calling all of those "illegal" hits. Why aren't Colt's fans bitching about the Saint's defense? ? Maybe it's because they were actually able to block for their QB.
quote:
you? are such a dumb frick. first of we football players love football, and we love to hit, but we do with respect and pride. but when you are driving the QB into the ground after he throws the ball, that's an illegal hit you piece of shite. its illegal when the QB has gotten rid of the ball with time before he is contacted by a defensive player. How the frick do you think the saints would have felt if this shite happened to drew brees.btw u know everyone is coming for Brees head next season
quote:
Vilma's a sick bastard and all the Saints d-lineman are stupid fat asses. " I KILL DA FAVRE. I KILL DA FAVRE" And stop using? hurricane katrina as an excuse. Every place in the world has natural disasters... And this was more than five years after! cmon people... Go vikes
quote:
This is ridiculous... I've lost all respect for the Saints... I hope some other team tries to take Brees out..and I hope they never win another? Superbowl
quote:
It was released that the Taints had? bounties on Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers, Kurt Warner, Favre, and probably many others. I don't think the nfl took enough away from the Taints. I can't wait for the player discipline. Saints SUCK arse!!!!!!
quote:
To all the saints fan, dont even try to defend the hit at 2:18. I dont think favre? was a big threat their. I think you guys should of gave up the superbowl, you are all P.O.S.
This one non-vikes comment made me laugh:
quote:
What looks like a late hit in slowmo, all took? place in the last 1/10th of a 4 second play. Do the math. In .4 seconds? Watch any game film, you will see this. Sorry the queens protection got destroyed by a 52 year old ex packer, the man himself, D Sharps.

Thanks. The second one was mine. I never resist a chance to slam their whiny comments.
I wish they could explain that if it was as simple as putting a bounty on someone then why didn't it work against Alex Smith or anyone else?

Easy. It was a vast NFL conspiracy against the Vikings, so that New Orleans could get its post Katrina "feel good" SB win. Haven't you been paying attention?

I kept my comment simple saying "Funny, most of these are perfectly legal hits". I couldn't argue with these idiots, it would almost seem pointless.

And I bet they go nuts cheering in the HHH dome when Jared Allen does the exact same types of hits to other QBs (I posted that one too). People will see what they want to see.

We should just get used to it, this will go on for a while. Any hit by a Saints player will now be magnified even if a player from another team does the exact same.

Yeah, I was on some forum when an idiot niners fan tried to get on me by saying Katrina 1 New Orleans 0. How do you like that?
I said Dodgers fans 1, Giants fan 0. How you like THAT?

I think a lot of fanbases were already resenting the Saints because of their recent success.

To the common fan, I won't think it will. It all depends on how much they let the media influence their thinking.

Anyone have a link to the rebuttal video posted by a Saints fan a couple years back showing all the "BAD CALLS" that weren't called that actually hurt the Saints?
There are two hits on Brees in that video that I'd love to shove right back in their faces.
Jared Allen hits Brees a "little" late, but then DELIBERATELY TWISTS his ankle while standing up
And Ray Edwards Pile Drives Drew every bit as blatantly, if not more so, than Hargrove did to Favre.
Long story short, it is absolutely ASSININE to think our defense played "dirty" or "dirtier" than anyone else would play in a Conference Championship game--or that a $10,000 "bounty" would motivate guys to "go after favre the way they did here" .
As though their own dreams of winning a championship and playing for pride and getting a ring mean nothing to them...
RETARDS!!!
but, seriously, if anyone maybe bookmarked a link to that video and can share, that'd be GREAT!!
WHO DAT!

The 2009 NFC Championship was the greatest game I ever saw. I can't wait until NFL Films produces an hour special chronicling the game, a la NYG vs SF Wild Card 2002. It will be great hearing interviews from Darren Sharper, Brett Favre, Remy Ayodele, Gregg Williams, Sean Payton, Garrett Hartley, and the infamous Paul "this isn't Detroit man, this is the Super Bowl!" Allen.
Until then, this will have to do: NFC Championship 2009

The high low could have been called and the hit where he "drove Favre into the ground" could have been called (which it was I believe). Other than, they were good clean hits that every other team gets away with as well.
