I think we should realistically should be having a conversation about getting together, pooling our money, and putting together a "HIT" to KILL that Mother frickER Roger Goodell.
It was a nice run, but...

Unfortunately Streif and Bushrod are too bad to win with, unless the defense is a GOOD one...
Find it hard to believe that without the emotional drain that this offseason was, and without the loss of coach payton we are still 0-2, but we'd still have very real issues on the oline that Nicks helped mask, and that aging is taking the little skill from streif and bushrod they had away.
Goodell personally responsible for making this year no fun, but we'd have had to have been Giants-type lucky to win it all this year.
Have to hope to stumble across some very REAL talent at OT and at SS if we are to try to extend the "golden era" of saints football for a few years after this year.
This year is a lost cause-- a LOT like 2007 was for us... too many self-inflicted wounds, too many outside distractions, and too many REAL problems (OT and sucky secondary) to overcome.
We'll be fun to watch in a few games, but I seriously doubt we feel we are true CONTENDERS at any point in this season--at least to the extent that we enjoyed the last 3 years--and THIS without really very many injuries!!
Where has Colston gone? (Drew doesn't get time)
Where does Graham go for 2.5 quarters in the middle of the game?
Where are these LBers that are going to "save" our run defense, taking away the most repeatable way to beat the Saints?
We can't protect Drew. We cant stop the run, we can't generate pressure, and we have no leader on the sidelines. We are 0-2, with both losses against the NFC.
Yeah, I know this is some serious venting, but unfortunately I think its painfully accurate.
Maybe the Interim GM and interim coaching staff can pull off a trade of one of our RBs for a decent OT, and we can still turn this around... then again, maybe we'll win one of these games where we're down 15 with less than 3 minutes to play and need miracles...THE EFFING GIANTS ALWAYS SEEM TO GET THEM! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

45-16, Gentlemen. get it right!
I know its just one point, but we didn't allow two TDs that night.
3rd most SATISFYING win in Saints history for me. (28 years young)
#1) XLIV -- no other choice
#2) 38-17 beatdown of Patriots on MNF in 2009 -- we showed the world we were "for real" in a real big way

As fans we can anonymously murder that mother fricker...
then maybe that'll scare the NFL bigwigs into playing straight--i.e. no scapegoating the frick out of one of the BEST franchises to try to maneuver politically/legally and save the already TOO STINKING RICH owners a few bucks...
frick EM ALL
And no, I'm not saying I'm gonna go kill Goodell, or try to pay, influence, or in any other way cause any other person to kill Goodell... EVIDENCE THAT I AM NOT THE MURDERER!!!
LOL

Patty,
You keep spouting this garbage about Vitt being incompetent at his job...
Two issues:
1) I think VERY highly of Sean Payton, as do most Saints fans who have been paying attention to the GOLD STANDARD organization he has helped forge the Saints into. If Payton has him on board, I'm CERTAIN he's not keeping him around cuz he's a buddy--it's cuz hes a damn good coach.
2) Payton wouldn't look like the offensive genius with Mark Sanchez running the offense--let's not overlook the pieces Vitt has had to work with at LB--Shanle, Dunbar, injury-prone Casillas, and suddenly rapidly-aging Vilma.
Give the talent upgrade at LB a chance to influence your opinion regarding Vitt's level of Competence. On top of that, reexamine just what you think is going to be required of the "acting head coach" Vitt. He doesn't need to make a mark-he just needs to run what Payton has put in place.
Lighten up on Vitt--Payton has him around because he's a valuable member of a Damn good Coaching staff in a Damn Good organization.
They're not infallible--but they have earned the respect as the NFL's Current GOLD STANDARD.
WHO DAT

Anyone have a link to the rebuttal video posted by a Saints fan a couple years back showing all the "BAD CALLS" that weren't called that actually hurt the Saints?
There are two hits on Brees in that video that I'd love to shove right back in their faces.
Jared Allen hits Brees a "little" late, but then DELIBERATELY TWISTS his ankle while standing up
And Ray Edwards Pile Drives Drew every bit as blatantly, if not more so, than Hargrove did to Favre.
Long story short, it is absolutely ASSININE to think our defense played "dirty" or "dirtier" than anyone else would play in a Conference Championship game--or that a $10,000 "bounty" would motivate guys to "go after favre the way they did here" .
As though their own dreams of winning a championship and playing for pride and getting a ring mean nothing to them...
RETARDS!!!
but, seriously, if anyone maybe bookmarked a link to that video and can share, that'd be GREAT!!

Saints AIM FOR SEVENTY in every game.
Go 13-3 again, this time securing HFA.
Win Super Bowl, running like a hot knife through butter in the Playoffs in the MB THUNDERDome.
Every opponent will have some whining about mean ole' saints running up the score.
At the conclusion of the season, perhaps as a part of NFL Films "America's Game", players and coaches openly admit that "yes, we DID TRY to run up the score in EVERY GAME, and we did it as a very intentional "F U" to the entire league "machine"

Offensively--Aim for SEVENTY
Every. Freaking. Game.
Defensively--Nothing special. Play the best defensive football posssible-seek to COMPLIMENT the offense.
For real, don't pull starters, don't take knees.
Make it OBVIOUS that we are "taking issue" with the NFL administration
