Maybe this is when lsu realizes to be successful you have to follow the football model and pay.

This is wrong on so many levels. Lsu paid pretty well on their last bball hire, secondly football didnt really break the bank to hire Miles

The point, that you didn't get, is that recruiting is about actual numbers, not per capita numbers.

It doesn't matter if we would have more with a larger population, those supposed players are fictitious.

In that order. Randy Livingston as Assistant Coach. Groom him to be the replacement. LSU to lock up top talent in state, plus have access to all of the country with all of the connections that Floyd has built. Livingston would own New Orleans recruiting. Floyd knows x's and o's, you don't coach at the NBA level and not know basketball. This is a no brainer in my mind and I have been saying this for a long time.

And the point that y'all didn't get is more vs better.......if lsu recruited primarily la miss and Texas they have a better selection of talent than Illinois alone. /end of coversation

No doubt, but the argument was Illinois vs Louisiana.

My take: Alleva absolutely has to make a splash with this hire. He can't afford to screw up like he did with Trent and the softball fiasco.

I think you MAKE these say No to you first, come with a strong offer - over $2.5 million plus hefty incentives. Who knows, the SEC is getting better in hoops and these guys might relish the opportunity to return LSU to glory and compete with Calipari, Donovan, etc.

1. Jaime Dixon
2. Brad Stevens
3. Shaka
4. Buzz Williams
5. Scott Drew

....

6. Tony Bennett
7. Gregg Marshall

If you get desparate...

you can take a gamble of Randy Livingston as HC.

Honestly, I'd rather do that than any of these:

Floyd
Kermit
Capel

Dude, I'm not going to start this all over again, but this is ridiculous.

The list of Illinois players puts Louisiana to shame, in both quantity and quality.

Ok......just like Lsu's basetball history is bigger than illinois. I'm not arguing that illinois doesn't have talent.

Scott Sutton, but probably not the best fit for LSU.
