Sept 17, 1923 - Jan 1, 1953
Often considered the King of Country Music, Hiram King "Hank" Williams is probably the most influential country music singer of all time. His songs are still played today and are covered by hundreds of artists. He truly lived his songs of drinking, cheating, and being heartbroken - which eventually led to his death at only 30 years old.

Cheating/Heartbroken Songs
You Win Again
I Can't Help it If I'm Still in Love with You
Your Cheating Heart
Cold Cold Heart
Why Don't You Love Me
I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry
Long Gone Lonesome Blues
Lovesick Blues
(I Heard That) Lonesome Whistle

Honky Tonkin Songs
Jambalaya
Hey Good Looking
Setting the Woods on Fire
Honky Tonkin'
Move it On Over
Honky Tonk Blues

Lost Highway
I Saw the Light
I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive

My wife says Hey Good Lookin is the maybe the greatest song ever written. It completely captures the essence of human male/female relations.

My Grandmaw as well. They were dirt poor growing up, and she tells me they wore the needle through a couple Hank Sr. records.

I have a few old Hank records from my other Grandpaw that I still listen to from time to time.

He had thousands of songs and was only 30 when he died (and was drunk and reckless for several of those years). Truly a great artist.

I Can't Help it if I'm Still in Love With You is an amazing song. One of my favorites ever.

So many great songs. And you're right, they are still being covered today. No doubt, one of the greatest song writers of all time.

Awesome. Teach him how to rip songs from YouTube and put on a cd.

Who might that be?

Also I don't remember what topic but you mentioned spirits yesterday. Do they bring in good bands?
