What would the consensus be if we drafted Michael Kidd-Gilchrist?

Really any of the three. With a Top 5 pick, just whoever's the best available. That would probably be Davis if we're Number One.

With a 10-15 pick, we can sort it out by position a little bit, though the only person I'm fully comfortable with in a future starting lineup is Jarrett Jack. We need help everywhere.

I think Ariza is good but we can do better.

If my choice is MKG versus Ariza, I'm going with MKG.

The reason I cite Jack BTW is now that he's in a starting role, I think he's only going to get better. I think he has a lot of upside.

I seem like the only Hornets fan that likes Ariza. If we had a half-decent SG so we wouldn't need to rely on Ariza on offense, people would love him. With a healthy Gordon next year, Ariza could quickly become a fan favorite.

Forgot Gordon since he's injured. Definitely happy with our backcourt long-term. Luckily the best draft choices available are front-court.

I'll say this about Ariza, he has NBA Finals experience. That's not a bad thing to have.

agree 100%

people think Ariza needs to be a scorer...that's never been him. he's a defender who has a certain role on the offense. with EG and a scorer at the 4, and ariza playing lock down D at the 3, that's a solid 2-4 right there. keep JJ at the 1, and all we need is a 5. which we (kinda) have.

I don't watch a lot of college ball but he seems like a Gerald Wallace. Is that a good comparison? If so, I'd definitely like to draft him.

You're pretty spot on there. But I would still love to have a 3 with him that is strong on the offensive end as well.
