Trust me I get it. But I'm not going to fault an 18 yr old for changing his mind. I am sure there were plenty of outside influences yapping in his ear to not go play in our offense. I also find it amusing that since he didn't come here he is all of a sudden a pussy. How many of y'all have played qb? They aren't pussies and while I hate ND it is still viewed as a great place to play.

Last thing I want is someone to come to lsu that doesn't want to. TBH I am more upset LC didn't come bc he chose bama.

None of y'all get it. The game is bigger than the man. LSU football will continue to be great with or without Gunner. It's a mistake- for whatever reason- for the head coach of LSU to acknowledge or call out a high school kid who does not want to come here.

Normally you would be correct, but when that "kid" doesn't show the respect for LSU or the balls to inform LSU that he's going back on his committment and cost LSU another player cause LSU took him at his word...all bets are off and he gets what he gets.

Reading the article, he didn't say anything nearly as bad as the inflammatory comments in this thread make it out to be.

If he was going to go back on his commitment, he owed Les a phone call. The way he handled things is what left a bad taste. I know he is just 18 but the people around him should have advised him better.

you either are a man or you are not
If he wasnt coming he owed the coaches a call so they could help another kid.
I can gaurantee you if it was the other way around LSU coaches would have taken the heat.
And it isnt an 18 year old kid. His family was in on the whole deal and they didnt have the kid call. So screw all of the no class family.
There are 18 year olds making life and death decisions in Iraq so spare me the mamas boy protection.
There is right and wrong and the way they handled it was wrong. Period and exclamation point.

I cannot even begin to enumerate how many different ways that I agree with this. Well said, my man, well said.

The young man is a better fit at ND. He changed his mind for whatever reason. Let it be.

Sad thing is that he never intended to go to Vandy, LSU, or Indiana. He used it all as a big publicity stunt that backfired and left him looking like a large child.
