We got a young, big reliever that can make people miss. Plus another player to be named. For two guys that weren't going to play.

It's going to be a rebuilding...decade.

Why would someone be upset. We traded two backups for a young relief pitcher that hopefully can develop.

Also, the player to be named later was the key part of this deal. It is pretty obvious that he was a 2011 draft pick. By rule, they are not allowed to trade those guys till after a certain date.

Alyson Footer's twitter (sorry I can't link from work) said that the word is that the player to be named later will be somebody worth a damn. Most likely a major league ready guy or someone from the current roster.
