How often do y'all do an avatar purging?

I'm always intrigued about how long I can keep one up and suddenly see it poofed.
Is it like a mass sweep thing, or do y'all just conduct random checks?

I don't have an avatar. I also have all avatars turned off because the majority of avatars used on this site are vulgar, misogynist, lascivious, or all of the above.

In case you're wondering, my last one was just the Whistle Monster. They say it was "too large" but it had been up for at least 3-4 months or so.

Sometimes I turn on avis and sigs [normally, keep them off], and I go through threads right clicking and checking. Sure, it is a thankless job, but I don't mind.
