I'll say this about Acura of Baton Rouge and Infiniti of Baton Rouge - great people, great service and while their pricing is in line with the New Orleans Acura dealership, IMO neither aren't as willing to deal as an Acura dealership in Houston.

years ago I purchased a pre-owned from infiniti of BR - a few days later I went in for a customary oil change. After about 30 minutes the service manager comes up to me and apologizes about both the tires and the brakes - they didn't meet the specification checklist and should've been replaced before the car was placed for sale. They offered me a loaner and changed the tires and brakes. My wife has purchased her last three cars from them.

If I was the friend you're referring to, I would be insulted as a salesperson that you tell people to beat me up on negotiations and tell me that I'm not allowed to get paid for my work.
