How about NLY?
As long as long term interests rates stay low which for the next 12-18 months is expected their business model should be fine. I've owned it for about 18 months. The stock may be down slightly but it is more than made up for by the large dividend.
ETA: It will also give you a bit more diversification.

Russian is a 50+ year old international banker who travels all over eastern Europe giving banking advice to rich people there. Or so he claims, anyway.
If true, the answer to both questions is a good bit more than you. Unless he got caught selling credit default swaps in 2007.

So what does your wife back home think of all the wives you have in all these ports?

I'm more concerned with what goes on in my home when I'm gone....

Good point. You might get home one day and walk in on your wife writhing on a pile of gold coins with Rivers watching approvingly. Watching the gold, that is.

The conceptual visualization of that act is priceless.

I do feel better about my novice stock ideas when you purchase the same stocks
What about a "flyer" in BP? Yield at 4.1%, likely to continue increasing the dividend to pre-spill levels in the next few years assuming the litigation goes their way, and payout ratio of only 21%

Can you give a final breakdown on your purchases for this dividend folder and give % of the stock comparatively to entire folder.

I'll do that but it may take months before I finish with this portfolio. You may need to bookmark this thread and remind me in a couple of months.

I bought ETR yesterday but when it went up over 50 cents/share within an hour or so I sold it. Glad I did as it is down today. I just couldn't pass up making several hundred dollars in a matter of 90 minutes. I'll buy it back soon.

I have XOM in another portfolio and it is my largest stock holding BY FAR. So I'm trying not to concentrate my risk with another O&G producer. Otherwise, BP would fit real well.
ETA: But if I were to add another oil producer I would probably prefer Royal Dutch Shell over BP. It has a yield over 4.5% now and it has a very good history of dividend increases.

Just saw you live in Asheville. I'm from a small town about 25 minutes east. Good to see people on here from back home.
