LA kids leaving LSU is basically common practice these days, it used to be a big deal though.

Since when? For the majority of the 80s and 90s, it was fairly common for our best players to turn pro at Miami or Florida State.

Kid will be at lsu when all the dust settles. he almost committed last year. He hasn't even visited f.s.u.

just another thread to jab the coaching staff. if he committed to another team, then that's relevant. right now, it's just a kid looking at all the schools he's receiving offers from.

if LSU gets a competent recruiter on him, maybe

Ensminger is dead weight on the recruiting trail and I hate seeing LSU fall behind on great LA talent

If we utilize the TE at all this year he will be at LSU. Not worried.

Agree. Desean is getting a bunch of offers from all the big boys. He is simply enjoying the recruiting process. Ensminger is doing a great job with him and is indeed earning his paycheck. LSU is still the leader here.

and you know this, how?

i'm not saying ensminger is the best coach on the staff. I don't know. I don't think it's fair to make accusations on people when you don't know what the do and don't do.

We have recruiters and coaches on this staff. hell, we have a wr coach who was a n.f.l. t.e's coach just last year. i think this might interest smith.

i'm sure ensminger brings value to this coaching staff. we don't know if he is important in film study, scheme, player relationship, player evaluation, game prep/organization, or even recruiting for that matter.

just assume someone is dead weight because they are old is pretty reckless and ignorant.

lsu had the best to second best talent in the country last year. They will be one of the more talented teams again this year. ensiminger was a part of the staff that recruited and evaluated that talent. so i'm not sure how it's a fact that he's dead weight.

Desean Smith is the best player in the state. I don't care what position he plays, yes, it is a blow...

Adam Henry should be recruiting this kid with all his ties to that area of the state.

I don't understand this guy's role on our staff.

Maybe Miles should take his own advice and show some chest by showing this dude the door to a admin position. This isn't little league. We don't need dead weight on this staff when everyone in the SEC keeps upgrading.

Admin, make it happen Miles. BBQ buddy can still come down, be heavily involved with everything on the team and keep his family well supported.

Does anyone really care if we recruit another tight end to not throw passes too. I would much rather us play with three offensive tackles. Also did anyone consider we put our worst recruiter on him cause we don't really want him but we just have to show interest in our states best rated talent

Henry was pulling some great offensive talent in his stent at McNeese, and his resume with TE's is boss.
