Gerald Green ran track at LSU. Prepped at St. Aug. Wish guys like this could play football.

If you believe that then something is wrong. It was fast but not a 4.03. More like a 4.3-4.4

he's quick, but i'd still like to see what he does on an official stopwatch

Considering the measure of timing - I'd hardly say that's legit.
Fast as Hell, but...

I timed it at 4.1 like 5 times.

Not necessarily a good idea. Two cases in point:
1. In the 96 and 97 seasons we had a receiver named Yahmani Adams. He was also a track star and had blazing speed. He beat defenders all the time and got open deep. Problem was the dude didn't have any hands.
2. Bennie Brazell. Again, freakish speed but not a good route runner and not much strength to separate at the line of scrimmage. Mostly stood out on special teams only.
The point: speed isn't all that's necessary to make a good player.

I think that was his whole point

Guess I missed that then. Was unsure of his meaning of "wish they could play football." I took it to mean, wish they would be on the team.

most times are laser timed you idiot. theres no way to cheat on laser time. click the button and the time comes back when they cross the line. i do it for the sparq high school combines. if anything it can make the kid slower if the guy hits the button to late.

I've never seen a return man get to the half yard line so fast. No worries, though, I'm pretty sure he and Bennie are still doing fine running professionally.
