I thought about that for a minute, then I remembered the premise of the show. If convicts can disappear and come back to life after nearly 50 years, then I guess anything is possible.

I'm gonna watch for a couple more weeks, but this show is on an early path to failure.

The 2nd (technically 3rd) episode is a filler episode.

Damn.. I knew this show would have a slow build but they have to pick up the pace soon or I'm gonna bail. I see a lot of potential here so I'll stick around for at least 3 more episodes.

I'm with everyone else here it seems. I thought the premise of the first two episodes were promising, but last night was very disappointing.

I agree with everything already said. I was excited about this show, and last week for the most part delivered. The premise is so promising, but this is going to get extremely old quickly if it is just a new convict every episode. The cast is horrible too. I will give it two more weeks and bow out if there aren't any changes.

I've thought the acting has been cheesy from the start. This episode only backed that up. If its going to be more formulaic shite every week...new inmate, track inmate, catch inmate...I'm out.

The show didn't do a good enough job getting you sucked in to the mythology of the prison/island/prisoners to jump to this cops and robbers game every week already.

The actors aren't NEARLY strong enough to have 3 people try and carry the modern period of the show.

Agree with everyone. The premise is interesting but if they just find someone new each week I'm gonna lose interest fast.

And the acting is oh so awful. I'll probably watch a few more episodes.

To be fair, Fringe started out exactly like this and took almost the entire first season to build towards an overall storyline. Which I think is one of the reasons the show's ratings have been poor.

There are a few problems I have with this show:

1) The main chick is awful. She's terrible as an actress and not interesting at all. Why do I care about her? What makes her interesting? Nothing. At least Olivia Dunham had some stuff going on to start Fringe.

2) None of the "main" characters are one of the ones that disappeared. That would make the show interesting. Have a main character not know why the frick he has awakened, etc. Maybe he was framed for a murder and sent to Alcatraz and now doesn't know how he got here, and they need him to help with the others, while he tries to put pieces together. Whatever.

3) No one is really surprised about what is happening. Both Hurley and Blonde take it pretty much in stride. Oh people disappeared and reappeared 50 years later? Magically? And now they are murderers? And my grandfather is one of them and I chased him and he led to my partner's death? Ok. Cool. Let's get these guys.

4) The mysteries are somewhat boring. Ok, the doctor and foreign chick didn't age, so they must have been Alcatraz too. They were doing something with blood. There's some secrets? Who cares? On Lost, the mysteries were mind-bogglingly interesting. Here? Who cares?

There should be more drama. There should be more intrigue. They should do a better job on building INTERESTING mysteries. They should once in awhile abandon the procedural aspects and make things slightly more serial.

And bring in more main characters with interesting backgrounds.

What we know so far about the background info.
1. Indian female DR. And the prison Dr. Haven't aged. The fed guy has aged. Chick cops GF has aged.
2. Feds know exactly whats going on. they were expecting the return as evidenced by the new prison setup and underground setup at Alcatraz.
3.the chick and Hurley were set up to be part of the recovery.

I'm thinking eventually this is linked to the Philadelphia experiment. Feds tried experiment to move people thru time. Easy choice of test subjects. No one would miss any of them. Experiment went off course. Now Feds trying to clean up their mess and keep it quiet.

I may be the only one who thought last night's epidose was better than last week. These types of shows take time to develope.

Also I think that it might actually have something to do with aliens...Hurly talked about being "taken" when he was 11. I wouldn't be surprised if he was abducted or something.

He hasn't aged at all. You must be talking about the bartender, who is her "uncle".
