...and while it blows the other X-Men movies out of the water, I do have some minor critiques.
I know this is common in "first" movies with well known characters, but some of the character introductions seemed sort of forced, especially the introduction of their mutant names.
Come to think of it, that's really the only thing that bugged me about the movie.
No scratch that: January Jones' robot acting. She's nice to look at for a little bit, but she has no other redeeming qualities.
Loved most of the cast. Funny that beast is the kid from About a Boy :D Loved Magnetos character.
ETA: That is all.

January Jones is such a horrible actress that it boggles the mind that she ended up with her role on Mad Men, much less anything else.

I wish they would do a Magneto movie from the point that he found out until the most recent X-men movies. I loved that scene.

Solid flick. People actually die. I hate comic book movies with insane levels of violence and no real damage.
I say it every First Class thread and I'll say it again. I knew this was a different and better X-Men movie when Magneto kicked arse at the bar.

Easily my favorite X-Men movie. One of the best films of the summer

I really liked it too. Right on par with x1 and 2. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was a number of the characters weren't true to comic book form. It's a movie though, that's almost to be expected. Some of the acting was bad too, but some of it was great so that makes up for it. Good movie.

I never really liked the X-Men movies until First Class. It was engaging and I liked the struggles of the characters. I did like that people actually got hurt and died in this movie. I have to admit that near the end every time Xavier got hit I thought "this is how he gets paralyzed" and it never was.
I would go watch a Magneto POV movie if it was made in the same vein as this one.
