The Green Bay Packers? Oh wait. They lost to a 9-7 team at home.

USC? On probation.

Notre Dame? Forget about it.

The only team better than us was Alabama with Lord Saban and this was their year anyway. We beat them at home and got beat in the rematch. Sure, it was a poorly called game, but Miles tried the formula that worked well for him the first time. Unimaginative, but plausible.

I am sick of the negativity. Miles has won like 82% of his games in 7 years. He lost in the BSNCG. We need to cut him some slack and get over ourselves.

Do we really think that no one can possibly just be better than us? I still think that something happened prior to the game. I've been saying that since the game happened. Should Miles have played Lee? Yes. But, it is over. Move on. The man is human, but he has done a great job here.

We are getting far too entitled. That LSU team, minus one game, was one of the best teams I've ever seen. That is because of Miles as well.

Les Miles isn't the greatest coach there ever was but I will take him over any other coach any time because he's our coach ( and he wins 82% of his games :))

That being said - he is fallible - and proved it in excess January 9th. He tried to use the same game plan that worked in November - against Lord Saban. Come on man!

You keep saying "Miles should have played Lee."

Well..... That's the only thing that has everyone up in arms! If Miles plays Lee and we get beat 34-0 it would have been better than losing 21-0 IMO. At least we wouldn't have to say "what if..." and the Gumps get their props w/o question. Now all we can do is wonder.....

What's funny about the whole thing is, if we get rid of Miles, who is a gonna want to coach at a school where the fans aren't happy with a 13-1 season that culminated into a SEC TITLE? No one. Whom exactly would be an upgrade. There was a thread on here last might that said," what can Miles do to regain your respect ", if the winningest coach in LSU history doesn't have your respect, you don't deserve a winning program. Our fan base is becoming just like Bama. Entightled.

Please don't interpret this as me wanting to see CLM fired, because I don't, but this is just silly. You don't think there are other coaches out there that wouldn't take that kind of money and this talent base? I think there are plenty of big egos in coaching that think they could do as good or better than CLM. just sayin...

Miles problem was not with JJ or Lee. He insisted on running the ball all season long and it was working as long as special team and defense scored, gave LSU good filed position, or changed the momentum of the game. He believed in passing the ball only when LSU had good field position. He was never in a situation without any help from turnovers or special team until the last game which was too late for him to try something else.

Point well taken but the truth is, there was only one QB on the Tiger team with any kind of history of winning games late with his arm and that QB did not get in the game. Miles gave his excuse today and it's so thin you can see through it. Lee was the only hope LSU had after the first quarter and he didn't play. Case closed.

In other words, his luck ran out. Maybe had he suffered a defeat during the season he would have thought differently but...who would you have wanted to lose to so he could learn that lesson? I look at our resume and I can't say I could have stomach a lost from any of them.

Thanks. A Bama fan on the SEC Rant had it and then an LSU fan put it on his. I laughed out loud with tears in my eyes when I saw the LSU fan use it and had to copy him.

Now, I refuse to add 2011. It will just stay at 2009. Yes, I'm mad.

Its one of the only ones they actually earned.

I dunno about that, I say two out of three. Since bama got a do over and release all of their aggression on LSU for the lost. 2/3 would gives LSU the advantage since now OUR players would be mad.

Should Miles have played Lee?

Based on Lee's past experience, here are what I see as the possible outcomes everytime Lee would have taken the snap for a passing play:

1. Sack
2. Fumble
3. Interception
4. Pick 6
5. Completion
6. Incompletion

So just from a numbers stand point, Lee would be successful 1 out of 6 times he drops back to pass.

Bur realistically, I think it is more accurate to say that Lee would have been successful 0 out of 6 times he dropped back to pass.

I am not a Lee hater, he played great this year, but those games were against opponents who could not have even competed against Bama.

If Lee would have played, I am totally confident that the score would have been a lot worse than 21 - 0. Probabaly like 35 - 0 or 42 - 0 with at least one pick 6 and at least another TD set up by a fumble to give Bama a short field.

The game is over everyone. Did it hurt? YES!!! But 2011 is done and we need to move on to 2012.
