This is disappointing but look a the time line here. LSU was late in the game on him. He's only been committed about 3 weeks? Mom and Dad were probably never happy with it. South Bend is much closer to home than BR, and Uncle was a Qb there for 4 years.
Some kids actually follow their parents wishes. While I think he would have had a better career at LSU, he's possibly happier if football fails at ND. Also I think Brian Kelly is a shitty coach, a complete a-hole, and will be out of the job in 2-3 more years.

Still want to see something official from Kiel, ND or LSU. Don't really care anymore save for the fact this entire episode has been quite bizarre.

Wow! What a mess between parents and their kids when it comes to recruiting. Just another obstacle in the wars of recruiting. I can't wait for this years recruiting to be over so we know who we have. This is all insane drama. 
I'm sure happy we have Les as our coach. He's proved time and time again with his steady hand he will continue to raise our program to new heights!

Players do not always perform in college, the way they do in High School. We'll see how he does at Notre Dame and see if it was wise. Different schemes yes, but should be able to see the overall ability of the guy. Get ready Zach....

Sounds like this is going to turn out to be a simple case of Momma wins. The boy never had a chance against Momma. Apparently, his Momma has more pull than Landon's has. Nothing you can do about that and there's no reason to attack the kid over it. He tried to cut the apron strings and, in the end, she threw a hissy fit and he gave in. If that's the case, so be it. Time to move on.

What a pathetic way to influence your son. Kids go off to college. It's part of life.
How will she feel if it doesn't work out for him? At least if it didn't work out at LSU it was his decision. It's his mistake to make, not hers.

So how do we go from his parents being perfectly fine with him to LSU and then all of a sudden they want him to stay closer to home and people on here are saying it has nothing to do with the meltdown that happened last monday? I say bullsh*t. It has everything to do with last week and seeing how inept our head coach is. Do not be fooled people, this is a result of last week and the entire meltdown that his parents want no part of this saga.
