I still find it very hard to believe that Saban would need any help at all on how to defend the option, and find it more unbelievable that Greg Williams could teach Saban anything about defense.

Coaches get insight from other coaches all the time. Sean Payton himself used insight from rival coaches and execs in Parcells and Gruden

Exactly. GW's "help" might have been nothing more than a 30 minute phone call.

And just why wasn't Les Miles picking Sean Payton's brain?

Because Les thinks he knows everything and would not stoop to taking advice from anyone.

I can't wait to hear 20-beer-Bobby's go on an all-week 20 city jihad against GW. That should be fun.

"I know more about opposing defenses,*burp I actually played in da league, *burp I know than GW ever knew. Why was he *burp plotting against my baby TBob *burp when he should have been *burp doing his job, I speaks fo the people *burp....."

Smart has visited the Saints staff in the past. He did not consult GW for the LSU game in particular. Schadd mentioned this in his tweets. It did no good. No matter how many times it was mentioned on the rant, people kept running with a bullshite version of events.

why is an NFL defensive coordinator even THINKING about helping a college team during the week of a divisional playoff game?

He didn't. Your understanding of events is faulty.

The very thought of Gregg Williams teaching Saban something about a college defense makes me giggle.

Even if it is true, I'm way more pissed off about the "Williams to St. Louis" thing the week of a major playoff game.

This isn't fricking college. This isn't some meaningless bowl game you can dip out on. This is the 2nd round of the NFL playoffs.

I can't believe gregg helped them crack the code to our offense!!! We had such a brilliant offensive gameplan and it was foiled by that prick!!

Les got advice from Jim Haslett, in case you didn't notice we had Aaron Brooks at QB.

I give a shite because as a tax paying citizen of the state of Louisiana, my tax dollars in part were used to subsidize the Saints and thus his job for many years.

He actively sought to undermine LSU, the state school from that state that enabled his arse to work for many years. The economic impact of football success is fairly well documented. On top of that he did an awful job and managed to give up TWO game winning drives to a crappy offense in the playoffs and possibly deprive the Saints of another home playoff game.

No he didn't.

Kirby Smart said visiting w Saints in the past (not leading into this game particularly) helps w option plan

College coaches meet with professional coaches all the time. Williams did not advise Smart in preparation for LSU.
