reading through it now..

but i actually started a thread after the game about this..

But looking back at it the game, that was perfect ending of how the last four years of quarterbacking have been at LSU. I don't know if college football has ever seen anything quite like this anywhere else since Ryan Perrilloux was dismissed from the program in 2008. So what other ending could you have expected?

majority of us, including myself, had deluded ourselves into thinking this team had a QB. Im not here for a debate.

Looking forward to 2012 and Mett at the helm

Why not link part 1?

Can't wait to get on my laptop and read all 3 parts. Seems like it is interesting and well written.

For those that think J Lee would have made a difference with his play.

Look at that link and then ask yourself. Does JLee have a habbit of locking onto his initial read?

The answer is yes. Both QB's do and always have.

Only 92 yards. Oh, you said difference, not distance.

Well, Miles' stubbornness with JJ probably cost him the NC. It also shows that Miles most likely was the one keeping Crowton around.

part 3 is pretty tough to read.

a QB who can make two reads gets a 75 yd TD pass there.

sadly not a senior qb on the roster who could do that.

Im not mad,angry etc anymore

With these two QB's getting 13 wins is a great accomplishment. I thank both guys for their time as Tigers and will always love them but man it's time for them to go

What a great analysis of Jefferson's limits as a quarterback. To be able to run a good passing offense the qb has to be able to know where his recievers are with relation to the defense. Hopefully Mett will prove to be capable in this regard. Just wish Randle had stayed one more year.

yep. good run down. nothing new though. Lee has his limitations also, however like i said yesterday along with many others, lee would have thrown it deep. might have been picked off, maybe not, but he would have thrown it you can bet your bottom dollar. we will never know now and therein lies the problem. You never get into a firefight and go down with your magazine full of ammo. You go down shooting til the last bullet has fired from that magazine. You use and try everything. we failed to do that.

This. Nice breakdown. Makes me feel good about the future. Hate to see DP running like that and nobody getting him the ball.

Hate to break more bad news to you, but LSU's offense only crossed midfield once in the 2nd half of the November game, too. Saban already had figured JJ by halftime then. And Miles did't see that. He said so himself. Told the team "I didn't see this coming."

BTW, Lee crossed midfield on the 1st series in Nov. He should have never been pulled after that 1st pick. McCarron wasn't.

food for thought

It is frustrating to see a wide open DP that could have gone for a touchdown but honestly how many college qbs are going to go through their reads when their primary read is wide open for a 19 yard gain? It sucks because there could have been more but I think its kind of dumb to dissect this play among others as analysis why JJ had a bad game.

A senior starting QB? All of them except JJ.
