Wasting practice time on something Miles had no intention of using...awesome.

read this:
quote:

For the most part, everyone – Lee included – expected No. 12 to get into the mix on Monday night, regardless of how good or bad Jefferson was playing.

“I thought I might get a couple snaps tonight,” Lee said. “It was in the game plan and I felt confident about it.

just because Lee took reps doesnt mean Miles was gonna play him.

U think Miles would tell Lee, go chill on the sidelines while we prepare for bama? Hell, JJ getting injured was pretty plausible vs this bama D. Lee needed to be ready.

Very telling when all of the players wanted Lee.

I'm really glad the JJ/JL controversy can be put to bed. Judging by the players quotes, it was a divisive issue in the locker room as well.

Come on guys--- Miles has been saying EVERY week, for WEEKS not that Lee was part of the game plan. In fact this week he said "Lee will make big contributions early in the game". CLM has 0 credibility when it comes to these statements. Lee part of the gameplan= Lee will not play (even if he is needed)

Well, when your head coach tells the team that he's going to play both QBs and that both of them are needed to win, yet refuses to play one of them, the players aren't going to like it.

Its pretty pathetic all the fans knew it would come to this. If true, that ultimately played a huge factor in the NC game.

And I give my sincere, deepest apology for being entirely too quick to post this after hearing it from this radio guy.

I sincerely mean that and will go away.

I think he intended to play Lee, but when Bama was sending every defensive play in from the sidelines and changing the formation right at the time of the snap he may have felt Lee would have gotten frazzled. I also think he thought the defense would get a big play or would wear Bama's offense down and turn it around for us as this is what has happened throughout the year. Unfortunately per Bama players they spent the entire time between the Auburn game and Monday's game watching film they defense could adjust since we through nothing new at them.

Great quote from the article:

“Jarrett won nine games and we did very well in those nine games,” Blackwell said. “I feel like he throws the ball a little bit better than Jordan, but on the other hand Jordan runs it a little better than Jarrett. It’s kind of a pick your poison deal.

“Unfortunately tonight we picked the wrong one.”
wtf!

Talk about your teammates having your back. Anyone think this dissension will have any impact for next season? Hopefully it doesn't, but when you "lose" your team as a HC, trouble most certainly looms.

the questions the players have to be asking themselves right now is this:

Do I trust Les Miles to do what he says he will do?
Do I trust Les Miles to which players give us the best chance to win?
