No one is stopping you from posting a top ten. There is no barrier to entry. And I'm terrified of any world in which I am hip.

I would be terrified of that world too.

I don't think I listened to more than three new albums this year. Fleet Foxes, Ulver, and Opeth. I added hundreds of common practice music records to my library, though.

I pretty much have controlling interest in EMI and the Berlin Philharmonic by now.

I'm a little uncomfortable to do a top 10 when, for me, there wasn't much of a gradient between good and excellent music, the latter of which I found none. Everything was just "pretty good" at best. Nonetheless, here's an attempt:

1. Bon Iver - S/T
2. Tuneyards - whokill
3. Drake - Take Care
4. Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie xx - We're New Here
5. Emika - Emika
6. The Weeknd - House of Balloons
7. Katy B - On A Mission
8. Jamie Woon - Mirrorwriting
9. Real Estate - Days
10. Active Child - You Are All I See

Top Traxx:
currently my boner jam: Active Child - "Hanging On". Dat falsetto
Nicki Minaj - Super Bass
Rihanna & Calvin Harris - We Found Love
Burial & Four Tet - Paradise Circus
Kavinsky ft. Lovefoxx - Nightcall
College - A Real Hero
Drake ft. The Weeknd - Crew Love
Grimes - Vanessa
Jamie Woon - Shoulda
Youth Lagoon - Cannons
Real Estate - It's Real
Watch The Throne - N1ggas in Paris
M83 ft. Zola Jesus - Intro
AraabMuzik - Streetz Tonight
The Weeknd - Wicked Games

Top Concertz:
Saw a ton of shows this year but the only act to blow me the frick away was Thievery Corporation

I dont have a top 10. Dont think I listened to a single album that was released this year.

where have you been? You've pulled a bizarro-hibernation by taking a break but showing up after LSU loses in the 'ship (or maybe you didn't care). Now would've been the perfect time to bow out for a few weeks until the anger and tardery settle down to high-but-functional levels.

I was really busy last semester, had more interesting hobbies than forum-reading over the break, and am now back because I'm bored in-between classes and my laptop won't connect to the campus Wifi. And yeah, I was livid about the loss.

No way. Vomit alone keeps Girls from this title. The most overrated album this year is Wye Oak. Or, if we use "rated" as the key word -- Bon Iver or Rival Schools. I think both of those releases are good, but nowhere near the levl to justify the amount of praise heaped upon them.

But Wye Oak is this year's Aniaml Collective. I'm mystified how people even like them. It's oppressively boring.

Most overrated album for me was Destroyer- Kaputt. Big fan of alot of Dan Bejar's stuff, but this wasn't for me.
