This is my bold prediction, and here's why:

If Mett was any good at all, wouldn't he have challenged for playing time THIS year? More specifically:

If this guy can't beat out JJ and JLee for a spot, do you know for certain that he could beat out Kiel or Randall?

Go easy on me, just a thought.

do you honestly think the competition was based purely on ability?

Mett was never, EVER given a chance to beat out either Lee or Jefferson.

Why in the world would anyone think there has been any competition for the QB spot in the JJ/JL era?

Miles hearts JJ...end of story. Nobody was going to be on that field last night other than his man Mr. Jefferswag.

In my opinion, Mett did not have enough time to prepare for the season. It takes a lil while to completly grasp a college playbook.

Seriously, if I was coaching the team last night, I put Mett in the game in the 4th quarter, skipping Lee completely. Who is the best downfield passer? Mett. What did we need to do to win the game? Pass downfield. It is frustrating that our coaches refused to make a truly gutsy call when it mattered the most.

Here's another thought. Mett starts and sets the world on fire. Does the fanbase look back on this year and question why he didn't get a legit chance?

Miles was never gonna let Mett start this year regardless.

I worry about Jerrard Randall starting. If so, expect more of this same playcalling. Not saying Randall isn't a talent, but I'm gonna feel so much better if he moves to another position.

Are you fricking serious? Cam Newton stepped on campus last year in almost the identical set of circumstances and led AU to a national title.

Teach him 10 pass routes and 10 handoffs and do them well. Look at Bama's Offense...probably 20 plays out of 5 different formations...

The best QB on the team is always the one on the bench, and that rule is not specific to LSU.
