Sun Ray Grill @ 1051 Annunciation St. Ate there last night, excellent. Had the sushi, but they also serve BBQ, Mexican, seafood, pasta, brunch, and burgers/sandwiches. VERY GOOD FOOD. NICE PLACE.

Good happy hour sushi deals.

Great brunch too.

For something not as swanky but great atmosphere and I actually saw Drew Brees and the saints hanging at is "Lucys retired Surfer Bar" on Tchoupitoulas and Girod is a great spot for food and drinks

I have been there before and I remember it being good but I don't recall that much variety on the menu.

Usually, I prefer my restaurants to stick to a type of cuisine and be really really good at it. They sound like they have the same menu as Cheesecake Factory.

Agree. Rio Mar is also good in that area.

Rio Mar is great. Cochon is the best in the area. If you are looking for a quick po boy. NOLA grocery is around the corner from Cochon. Great Po boy and inexpensive. Murray does them right.

I knew this thread couldn't possible have started on the F&D board, because Sun Ray is fairly mediocre. I actually like the place, but I wouldn't call it "good".

That area has MUCH better places.

Excellent place - have never had a bad meal there and been many times with many different food items - there's 2 others in town - I have eaten at the one on Belle Chasse Hwy and I personally think its the best rest. on the WB

It's not bad. Calling it "great" is a bit of a stretch, though.

I really like Sun Ray Grill for what it is- a nice casual place with a diverse menu. I wouldn't call it great. Lucy's food is nothing special at all and I would put Rio Mar in that same category even though it is obviously a much more upscale place.

I like Sun Ray grill for those days when you just don't know what you want to eat.

I like Lucy's guacamole a lot. Tommy's is pretty good too.
