How do Predators reproduce?

We are having a debate, all speculation of course, and have come down with 3 basic opinions.
1. They hunt then they go "home" and raise families.
2. They live to hunt and reproduce through some kind of future method we dont know anything about.
3. Only certain Predators are full-time hunters. The rest of the poplulation live in either family or group families.
Any other opinions on this?

their hair is actually a buncha penises
oh you mean "when" do predator's reproduce
i imagine they reproduce as part of their duty to continue their race and less as an enjoyment thing
i imagine they'd prefer to be hunting but they do what they must

Humans who survive their trials are able to mate with their queen mama. See Arnold, Danny Glover.

So they're all married?

They are like the Drak in Enemy Mine. They self fertilize, and the baby bursts out of their abdomen when its born, killing them in the process.

From Wiki:
quote:
In the Aliens vs. Predator novel series (based on the Dark Horse Comics) by David Bischoff, Steve and Stephani Perry, the Predators, known in the series as "yautja", are depicted as living in a matriarchal clan-based society bearing similarities to a pack mentality, with the strongest and most skilled of the group being leader. The Predators are portrayed as sexually dimorphic mammals, with females being larger and stronger than males[21] and sporting more prominent mammary glands (like human females).[1] Both genders give off a strong musk to signify aggression, while females can also emit it when in estrus. This musk can be detected by other Predators and canids, though it is imperceptible to humans.

Nice option but who takes care of the young ones? Do they have to survive on thier own like sea turtles. When watching Enemy Mine back in the day I came to the conclusion that they would go extinct eventually with a 1 to 1 birth rate.

and THIS is why the internet and smartphones have ruined the "argument"
now this thread is dead
we cant wax eloquently about the possibilities of predator breeding

i hope you're not the drinking buddy that just whips his phone out anytime there's an argument about a fact bt you and a buddy.

Yeah. I just went back and read the details to refresh my memory. Jerry wasn't supposed to die. He just had a difficult birth of Zammis.
I could see the young predators having to live like wolf children though.

Thats the truth! I suppose those who are on the #3 argument in the OP are closest.
Also, those females sound terribly unattractive.

I sympathize with your argument, but you sound like an old man yelling at kids to get off of his lawn.

Obviously they are all married, why else would they spend so much time away from home hunting.

When a Predator dies God personally makes another one because of how awesome they are.
