I love them all, but I can't get over the richness of a duck and andouille.

I'm also a fan of the duck and andoullie...

Any well made gumbo.
That's really the right answer, though as we know it must not have tomatoes or okra nor should meats be mixed with seafoods.

I was talking to my buddy that works at Commander's and he said that they have a gumbo made out of foie gras
He claims it's amazing

My favorite.
that is my BCS plan...with an amazing stock made from one smoked and one fried turkey carcass.
I am stoked. My New Years diet will go on a one afternoon walkabout.

eta: crab and shrimp or duck and andouille. A well made chicken and sausage can compete with any though. My mom puts chaurice or tasso in her chicken and sausage and it's a nice bonus.

That Campbells canne dthat you just add another can of water to and heat it up is pretty good.
Just kidding. I agree with whoever said that as long as it's good, its the one for that meal.
I do like shrimp, or chicken, Had quail gumbo once and it was nice. Would like to say that once, when i was really young, we had turtle gumbo. All i remember was that it was really good.
Has anyone ever had robin gumbo?
