With only a little over an hour that we start a new year, I've been living in the delusional world that the ongoing QB controversy at LSU was all but over, in 9 days. But, as I drink myself into oblivion and read the threads, I've come to the healthy conclusion that the JJ argument/discussion/drama will continue.....even when he's gone....and continue....and continue. He is here to stay!

Pray we win the game because if we lose with JJ at the helm it will never end.

We will win the game. We have good coaches and players. One player will not cause us to loose. We will win, even with the same qb play as the Georgia game. We will win.

This year has been great with both QBs. I'm sure we'll think of something else to occupy our time next season, but for now, I'll take these two QBs to New Orleans in an attempt for perfection.

I was on a plane from DC to N.O. today. It had a bunch of Michigan and Va. Tech fans, and we got into a football discussion. I brought up the JJ/JL controversy. They all thought the outrage on the part of some LSU fans was ridiculous. Just to be fair, I tried to present the side of the outraged, but I realized even more how inane it is.

Probably more "white guilt". Been going on for years. They probably think it's racist or something. Like the previous poster said, I'll take my chances with both JJ and JL. They both play as hard as they can. And that says alot about both of them. I appreciate their hard work. Just ready for the drama the end.

Ummm, no. It was more of thinking there must be some very dumb LSU fans who think the coach of a 12-0 team playing for the national championship is playing a quarterback for any reason other than he thinks that quarterback gives the team the best chance to win.

I agree. And don't be surprised to see Mett if JJ and Lee falter or go down.

That's good VOR. I've seen some post here that a lot of that was racial. Which it's not. I guess us LSU folks expect perfection. I trust in Les and both our quarterbacks. We will win.

We will have QB controversy. Trust me. I give it til spring practice before it rears it's ugly head.

Mett vs Randall vs Gunner vs Rivers.

Ready. Set. Go.

Isn't he the 3rd string?

To the OP: we have a bunch of talented young qbs on the roster so don't worry, you'll get your Mett/Kiel or whateve threads soon enough.

don't kid yourself....some of the vitriol directed at JJ is racial in nature and some of it is just people who think these kids should be doing more than they are capable of. it's sad that this shite still exists....but it does, cause I've heard it from some LSU fans before, during and after games. personally, I feel we are lucky to have two kids who give their all every time they touch the field. happy new year.

From what I have been seeing on the football field there is no controversy - JJ is the QB. The Tiger Rant posts (me included) will have you believe we have a controversy but that's just b/c JL is a better passer and leader on the field IMO. One more glorious battle to geaux and it's all over! Geaux Tigers!

Interesting/telling that you speak of "QB controversy", but then only "JJ".

Perhaps the problem lies not with our QBs, but some of our fans who are butt hurt cause their favorite QB hasn't been/isn't the starting QB.

when any player gives the appearance of being self-absorbed and almost always refers to himself instead of appearing "team-oriented", he makes it difficult to like him...

Jefferson....thug POS.

Kidding. I think he is a good kid, as is Lee. I'm glad to have them both, as we have needed them both. I hope Miles passes the crystal ball to JJ and JL at once. I want to see a pic of them holding it at once!

On the recent film of the nov. '10 ala. game, when lee picked up the rolling football snap, he was looking straight ahead and threw the pass to only three ala. defenders (no LSU receiver in view)for an interception, why I do not know. On lee's next interception, the LSU receiver never looks back and is being railroaded or thugged off the sideline by one ala. defender while the other ala. defender intecepts the pass.
This has got to be the reason(s) why lee is not playing unless lee told les he deliberately did the above!
