My little bro was climbing a lock on today and when he got to the top section the strap broke, he rode it down a little and appears to have cut his leg on one of the lower steps, appears he is going to be OK, in surgery now, no breaks.

Be careful out there OB brethren, nylon does not weather well...

Wow, thats a big cut...Glad to hear it didnt break anything.

My cousin several years ago fell and broke the big bone above the knee. The climbing stand broke and pinned his leg between the top and bottom. He was still hung up in it when I found him. Luckily I could hear him hollering for me from my stand.

Good God that made my stomach turn...

Glad he's ok, like others said, it could've ended much worse.

He always wears his Hunters safety system, they're great, when you make it into the stand.

Another few inches up he would have been in artery city, hand is bruised up from him trying to grab something, no beaks, it's quite amazing.

He's so lucky, im surpised he didn't land on a 150" 12 point on the way down

Glad to hear he's alright. I've had two stands fall when I was in them hunting as a guest in MS. Neither time was exceptionally fun.

Sounds like they should have had more ropes/ties on this stand.

He said that he layed there and made sure he could move everything first, the he said "shite my pants ripped", then he felt his newly aquired vagina where his thigh used to be.

He tied it off with his belt, and luckily fell with his bag where he could get to his phone.
