No, he wouldn't. He already makes roughly $4M a year, and he and his family are firmly entrenched in athens. They love the city, the schools, and the church. He has 4 kids, that's a big thing to just up and move halfway across the country for basically no monetary gain and a step down in job prestige/opportunity.

If someone posted "hey, your name is Geoffrey", your first reaction would be "um, no it's not". Right? Then if they said 'well I heard someone say that it definitely could be and might be' you'd say 'well you're wrong man. It definitely isn't. I know my own name and that's not it'. Right? Then if the continued on and on and on and on about what your name is, when YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR NAME IS, don't you think you would eventually get tired of hearing about it?

Why allow him to get so close to the end of his contract if the fans support him and the school want him? You could have gotten an extension on the cheap after 2 down years.

It's because you would have fired him. And rightfully so if he had a down year. If he has a down year next year (3 of 4 years) you will fire him.

So A&M wants him. We offer a substantial raise. He either takes more money and stability or leverages an extension out of Georgia.

To think he declined the phone call is naive. After all, we are A&M
