It's not like today to where if you lose your ticket, you can just print it right back off. It was a huge hassle which would have for sure made sure they missed their flight, or at least Kevin and the mom did.

This is no joke even today. Last time I flew back from New Zealand I misplaced my ticket (an actual paper ticket, required for proof that you're going to leave NZ). The poor Qantas lady at the desk had to spend some serious time on the phone with Oneworld before they were able to verify my reservation.

It was the return leg of a $2200 ticket and I was seriously afraid that I was going to have to buy another one on the spot or not get home.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet but all of the toys in Duncan's Toy Chest sucked balls. Probably one of the worst toy stores.

Since DTC is based on FAO Schwarz, the more "modern" toys were probably in a different part of the store (offscreen to us).

1 and 2 are the best. You should enjoy but I really enjoyed these when I was a kid so not sure how I would like them now without ever seeing it. Holiday classics though.

Couldn't imagine seeing the 3rd one first. Only redeeming part of that shitfest was a young ScarJo.

Ok I'm watching this again. Earlier in this thread someone pointed out that Little Nero's pizza was like an hour from the McCallister house. But the magnet on the side of the delivery car says they deliver in 20 minutes or it's free.

SO WHY DID THE PIZZA GUY KEEP ASKING FOR ALL THIS MONEY?

Has anybody brought up Uncle Rob and all the money he must make? Dude has a house in NYC and travels to Paris on the reg. How much per year does he make, if you had to guess?

To fly a family of that size overseas just to be together for Christmas, that must have been one hell of a promotion. gotta be making 8 figures.

And ya know being that Kevin was a material witness in a crime I'm sure the police never stopped by for further follow up etc.

But the cops never saw Kevin. He called from the Murhpys house. The Old Man got him out before the fuzz showed up.

Also, Kevins battle plan was obviously the work of a coordinated tactical genius. If you were a burglar, and knew an 8 year old kid was home alone, would you waste time trying to sneak in? Harry and Marv went straight for the front and back door, then basement, then windows. Then, he affected the rage of two men who were clearly not prepared to deal with a coordinated defense. The Fan and feathers was simply meant to piss them off. Angry people make rash decisions.

Kevins goal was to slow them down, lead them into the murphys house, and wait for the cops to show up so they couldn't get away. Kevins one mistake it seems was not adequately scouting the Murphys house, or relying on the cops to actually be prompt.

All they needed to do was look around for a bit.

No, he called from his house, but even in the 90s, surely the cops had caller ID.

And the state that the Wet Bandits are in, the Old Man should have gone to jail with the Wet Bandits as well for torture. Harry's head and hand has severe third degree burns, half his teeth are missing, and he's been tarred and feathered, while Marv has glass in his bare feet and has had his face bashed in with an iron.

If you're a criminal about to do hard time, are you gonna tell the cops an 8 year old kid beat the ever living shite out of you and got you pinched?

I'm sure that would go over well in the clink.

Well, the cops have to ask how the hell that happened to them and get them hospital as soon as they arrest them. Surely they'd at least suspect the suspected neighborhood serial killer was behind it in the very least.

Not sure why he did the feather thing but it sets up the "why are you dressed like a chicken" line which makes me laugh every time

One thing I've been wondering about was what were they going to do with Kevin once they caught him? I mean they go from unarmed burglars to CHILD MURDERERS!

My question was answered when watching HA2 last night and Joe Pesci puts a gun to Kevin's head and is about to kill him. This didn't register to me as a kid, that Kevin's life was in real danger.
