I believe that comment actually came from Nick Saban who was coaching the LSU team at the time....not Les Miles

Not saying Nick didn't say this but Les made this comment in 2007. But I don't believe he was being a hypocrit this year. How did you want him to answer this question.

I dont totally agree with Bama being in the title match but I do think Bama is the 2nd best team in the country

This, I wanted OSU, but really the only team that can beat a strong SEC team is another SEC team. There is a reason why the SEC owns the most crystal footballs.

So now you want us to apologize because the voters voted Bama #2 even though they lost to us...get fricking real and stop whining. You know this year was a strange year for football. There are not any dominate teams outside of LSU and Bama.

You are turning into the biggest hater on the rant. Les Miles is a hypocrite for sayIng he would be honored to play them again. You are just as bad as the sec homers on this board. Bama is the 2nd best team they would curbstomp anyone in question for the 2 spot

Your issue needs to be directed at ESPN. They got on the soap box for a re-match right after game on 11-5 and never relented.

UR right..but ESPN wants (pushing hard)for a 4+1 in place so they can extend their season and advertising selling for a couple of weeks.

as far as the voting, Les had the chance to place his old buddies at Ok St at 2 and he chose not to do so..for whatever reason.

as far as ...Les Miles is a hypocrite for sayIng he would be honored to play them again...
he voted Bama 2.

Saban said that, not Les.

Les said he would be honored to play Bama again if they got the nod, he didn't propose that Bama should play in the game.

A little fact checking bro. Nice to see you around again.

I didn't read jack shite of this thread. I'm imagining its a long cluster frick of many threads that have been on here the past week. But to the OP, this is not a FACT.

My uncle is a photographer in upstate New York. He does weddings, events, and even some work for the Yankees. He talks to and sees hundreds of people a week, and being a sports fan himself, he likes to talk about college football. I talked to him about if anyone would give a shite about a rematch, and he said we would be surprised at just how many people are interested in this game. They don't necessarily have a team they are cheering for, but they do acknowledge that two great teams are goin to be playing in a huge game. These are mostly Penn St, Ohio State, Michigan fans who know their college football. Of course they will watch.

Not reading this whole damn thing so I have no idea if this has been mentioned...The three highest rated college football games this season were LSU/R-Kansas, SEC Championship, and LSU/Bama

It was on ESPN you freaking idiot. The 2nd highest rating ever for ESPN.

If it was on ABC it would have had a lot more viewers
