LSU has been playing football since 1893 and has won exactly one and a half national championships. It won half of a national championship in 2003 when #2 LSU beat #3 Oklahoma. #1 USC, widely regarded as one of the most complete teams in modern history, won the other half of the national championship. In 2007, LSU became the first 2 loss team to ever play for a BCS national championship. That 2 loss LSU team is responsible for their only full title. This season, LSU looks to play for a BCS championship against a team it has already defeated from it's own division. Another head spinner in the world of LSU and titles.

Meanwhile, the USC trogans are playing lights out football and nobody in the country wants what Matt Barkley is dishing out. Unfortunately, USC is off probation next year and teams will have to answer for it.

1908?
1958?

If we used Alabama's math, we could probably claim 2 or 3 more.
