Haven't heard anything but Bama pretty much being a lock for NC game.

Danielson has already said this...and will more than likely say this all day today during the Iron Bowl.

Not with the media darling of the SEC it won't......if it was another team in their shoes I would say that it probably would.

They're still the 2nd ranked team in the country. What would LSU fans be saying if the roles were reversed?

If they think there's BCS confusion now, putting Bama in the NC game will only make things worse!

They are 2 now . But u could well have 2 or 3 one loss conf champs in a week or so. Will voters realize Bama's shortcoming and slide them down a notch or two to keep them out?

Same thing happened to Georgia in 2007. It's really not unprecented.

It will pick up next week as the conference championship games are going on plus the OSU v. Ou game for the Big 12, and Bama is sitting at home as a spectator. And, if the media starts going this route they will also start pointing to Bama having already lost to us at home. That is a big IF.

what if you were a 1 loss team as well, who:

1. won its conference;
2. had a better record (likely 1 more win than a bama team who, again, didnt play in conf. championship);
3. had not already played the unanimous bcs participant and lost, at home.

while we in the SEC think every other conf is weak, the others arent so ready to waive the white flag.

hell, nobody in the SEC gave boise a chance against UGA this year ... and nobody gave utah a chance against a bama team a few years back in the sugar.

voters will put a 1 loss conf champ ahead of a rematch.

Doesn't matter they didn't win their conference, a convincing win today, and they're clearly the second best team in the country. They have the best resume of any one loss team. We'd be screaming the same thing if the roles were reversed.

The media already has. I've heard media folk who pay limited attention to college football mention that starting last Monday.

Yes...it will.

In the end, there will be no rematch...sorry Tiders.

OSU will roll OU and pollsters, much like they did in 2007 when they all took a breath and realigned the poll based on logic (LSU certainly could not remain behind a two loss VT team which LSU had already beaten or behind a UGA team which did not even win their division?!?) and BAMA will drop in enough polls to move OSU into the slot and the logic that BAMA already had their shot and lost at home, that they should not get to benefit from losing to LSU (getting to sit out of the SECCG AND then getting to go to the BCSNCG) and for not winning their division let alone their conference. Plus, the national media is already on record poo pooing the previous game as boring...can they legitimately give us all the game they proclaimed they hated the first go 'round?

LSU will then slaughter OSU in NOLA.

We'll see BAMA again...but it'll be in Tiger Stadium...at Night...in November of 2012.

Until then enjoy the Sugar, Nick.

Oh...and BAMA will claim another National Title.

What if Bama has a subpar game, barely beats auburn, and Ok St. throws up 65 on OU do they still keep Bama #2?

Yeah, but isn't a LSU/Bama rematch kinda pussified? With LSU playing 13 games and Bama 12 games and Bama losing at home to LSU.
