I bleed purple and gold and I just hate to see LSU just completely cede this part of the state to Ole Miss and Texas

Good Luck to him........

He's "Tiger Bait" now (with a huge assumption he EVER gets to a class at Ole Miss)

i bet MLB GM's are trembling in fear at the prospect of losing a draftee to Ole Miss. That's some pretty amazing leverage over in Oxford. I mean, when a recruit walks in to that stadium and sees all those CWS banners hanging up everywhere...

I would be shocked if he ever steps foot in Oxford. That being said, Mainieri handled his recruitment like a bitch.

Don't think he meant Ole Miss as a program....he just meant the threat of College.

The kid is a top 15 prospect. No MLB GM wants to waste a high pick on a kid that doesn't sign. It doesn't matter if he signs with Ole Miss, LSU or McNeese State. Let Ole miss deal with this shite.

Someone tell all 3 of those players at Barbe that their a bunch of tards!! When you have a LSU baseball scholarship offer and your from Louisiana, you take it and don't think twice.

Hah....it's not that simple. I'm from South Florida and got a scholarship offer from Skip Bertman.....to go to MIAMI. I told Skip, thanks but no thanks. He actually laughed at me when I told him I was signing with LSU. I just liked what LSU had to offer and was much more comfortable with the coach. The program wasn't anything close to Miami. If I had gone to Miami I would have a NC ring.....but I have no regrets about going to LSU.

Did Cecchini have a scholarship offer here? I thought after his brother signed, PM pulled it and stopped recruiting him. I apologize if I am wrong on that (which is very possible). I just thought I read that somewhere.

you are correct. His brother Garin completely dicked over Manieri. Told him he was coming to LSU unless he got over like 750k or something. THe kid signed for about 300k. I know that's a lot of money but it's less than half of what you were hoping for. So I can get where PM is coming from in not dealing with that shite.

I don't worry about losing him or that catcher to Ole Piss. Neither will ever set foot on campus.
