There was also an obvious late hit on Reid after the blocked FG.

To be fair, the refs were letting both teams get away with a little more than normal. I thought the officiating was pretty down the middle.

I remember a couple of late hits out of bounds too. Haven't watched a replay, but they seemed obvious at the time.

I can't argue with this.

Yup....I was worried about Lee as soon as I saw the hit. He never recovered.

It rattled him pretty good. I really feel like he is still afraid to take a pop which I can understand with linebackers that were as powerful of hitters as Bamas. They hit him once and he started throwing up balls like it was Mardi Gras and brought back the penguin feet which we haven't seen all season.

Not the best video but you get the idea. Its pretty blatant and should have been called

Just found it. First Drive, 3rd and 8. Right in front of the ref. hightower took a good three steps after the ball was thrown. Can't believe it wasn't called, and neither could Lee apparently, the way he looked at the ref from the ground.

However, I do agree the refs were pretty lenient in this game when it came to that stuff.

Agreed. But I did think that was a late hit on Lee by Hightower. Ive seen the same called against us before in games. Anyway, I thought the refs did a good job overall for the game.

Hightower's hit on Lee should have been called. No excuse for letting that go. If you watch the replay, Hightower KNEW he was guilty so he turned to the refs and braced himself for a flag to be thrown, but none came.

The time for the refs to be tough is early in the game which would have set the tone for the rest of the game. When Lee saw that it wasn't called, I'm sure he thought he would be a pinball the rest of the afternoon and starting throwing the ball prematurely. Refs can make or break a game a lot of times. Overall they called a pretty good game.

Wasn't really that bad of a missed call, if at all IMO.

They were hitting JJ late too, there is one that sticks out in my mind where he pitched it and got absolutely obliterated by the LB. And it was obvious the LB knew he didn't have the ball.

The one that stands out for me is #5 on JJ on the Bama sideline, second half
