Kornheiser and Wilbon are pro-league fans, not college fans. The only thing they know about college sports is what they read in Sports Illustrated. Every show is very heavily weighted toward the NFL, the NBA and major League Baseball talk. Same with Mike and Mike in the Morning. I quit listening to them a couple of years ago, because it was all Jets, Giants, Eagles, Patriots, ad nauseum.

I'm glad I read about this instead of watching the two knuckleheads live. Those two could screw up a wet dream.

The ironic thing is all day, even Russillo and maybe SVP too can't remember, was saying how OSU would at least score points on LSU's defense, unlike Bama. Wilfully ignoring that OSU wouldn't have a chance at stopping LSU's running game.
We've played this song all season long. Sure OSU would score 21-28 on LSU, but LSU would put up a 45 spot against them and run for 250+ yards. OSU would need to jump up to a 21 point lead, bc if we were able to run the ball all game long it wouldn't be close in the 4th.

Text book case of jealousy. The haters hate because we're that good and they know they will never compete. Classic jealousy.

If Pittsburgh wins a Superbowl 10-6, it's a brilliant win by a stellar defense. Who cares...line them up one by one, our D will tear through all of them...

At least Cowherd got it right this morning. He made the point that K-State's offense is no where NEAR LSU or Alabama and they dropped 45 on Ok. State.
So, think about the ridiculous contradictions; greatest defenses ever yet offenses struggled?? Come on man...
I also think LSU kept it uber-conservative purposely and didn't take ANY shots down the field in second half...just ran a basic offense to score enough to win...No need to gamble if you do not have to...

Good Offenses like Oregon and WVU are no match when going up against the quickest College Defense in history. Maybe there was little Offense because there were 2 great D's out there??? Ya think?

They want to see the defenses play a truley great offense to see if they are really good.
I can remember when a marginally good Ole Miss team played Texas Tech a few years ago and they whipped pretty bad..That's when TT had the greatest offense in the nation.. Not to mention the last 5 years of total BCSNC dominance

Mike and Mike know absolutely JACK shite about college football. THey rarely talk about it and when they do it's so basic and bland.
Most of the ESPN shows only cover pro sports which is understandable, but damn.

The game just highlighted that neither team at this time has a pro prospect behind center. Those defenses make average quarterbacks look bad.

That way they can build up the other teams. That way people will be interested and think it's likely the other teams can beat LSU in the Champ game. It's about conflict and selling stories to get listeners/readers/watchers.
Very, very true. They gotta sell ad space and I actually want as many people watching our glory as can be. I want to play Stanford in the MNC and I want as many viewers as possible to think that Heisman toting Luck is going to rain down missiles on us.

I want to cap off a perfect season with a 50 point blowout over the NCAA career wins leader, reputed to come Into ANY house and conquer giants.
I want Boise.
I want Boise.

What do those effete Yankees know about football anyway?
Posted on 11/7/11 at 7:59 pm to DrTyger
well technically bama is one of the top offenses in the sec with one of the best rushing attacks in the country. They were averaging 40 points a game and we held them to 6
SIX!!!!!
SIX!!!!!

Why? If you think the fanbase bitches about the media now, wait until LSU plays Boise in the NCG. Stanford, Okie St or Alabama will still get the most attention.
This incessant griping about the media is amusing. Before and after, yet LSU is still ranked number one. People will complain no matter what.

PTI is the worst place to get comentary on college football. Wilbon thinks Boisie State needs to be #2 right now.
Both of those guys have spent too many years writing for th NorthEastern United States where they don't really care about college football.
Just listen to them talk about college football for any length of time. Even the most casual college football fans knows more than PTI's mental migets.

I guess I'd like Oregon to take care of Stanford. That's 2 birds with one stone due to our beat down of OU. Then let Ok St handle their business and we'll drop the hammer on them in NO. If Bama could destroy Boise in a BCS bowl game that'd make a pretty good exclamation point for the SEC once again.

I don't really care who we play. I just don't want to play Bama again. lol.
OSU doesn't have the defense to compete.
Stanford doesn't have the WR playmakers to beat our DBs, and D not good enough to stop our running game.
Boise isn't deep enough to compete. Our ground game would wear them down.
We could lose, but I feel very confident against any of these teams. I think we'd beat Bama again, but that game is just too competitive. Rather not give them another chance.
