I have a small Gerber that someone left at our pool house. I've been asking people for months and no one will claim it so its what I've been carrying around.

I think the automatic's are kinda overrated in my opinion. They are cool, don't get me wrong but from a practical standpoint I'll go with a regular folder for my very specific needs.

Gerber paraframe. Hate it. Every time I look at new knives I don't see something I really like at a price I'm willing to pay so I just don't get one.

Used to carry a Schrade with 4" blade and belt clip. I broke the blade using it as a screwdriver. Miss that knife.

I definately understand your thoughts there. Some of the knives out there are ridiculously overpriced. Check out the Cold Steel. I found some store's online with decent prices for a very quality knife. Paid $50.00 for mine and I would put it up next to any of the pricier brands.

The reason I hate the paraframe is just because of one time I was prying some big arse staples out of a box with the pocket clip while the knife was closed, and my thumb slipped through the big arse gaps in the handle and sliced the hell out of it. Nothing really wrong with it, I'm just still mad at it. Also have a nasty scar on a different finger from the serrated edge but that was just due to pure stupidity on my part.

I still have one. A little heavy and bulky to carry around.

Kershaw Blur assisted open. Can't beat the quality and price, they make legit kitchen knives too.
