LSU Verbal Yes 01/23/2009
Alabama No Interest No None
Arkansas No Interest No None
Louisiana Tech No Interest Yes None

After LSU, Neb. and Tex. AM were only major offers. MC was the 90th rated wide receiver coming out. Les and company knows how to spot talent.

Anyone that knows much about Fair Park in Shreveport really has to pull for Claiborne to make it. It's a tough inner city school with a lot of underperforming kids in tough environments, and it's quite a credit to MC for being able to rise out of that setting and make the most out of his opportunities. He seems to be on track to pick up a degree if he doesn't leave for the NFL and is really a good story. He has to be one of the biggest success stories on the team.

Mo is awesome!!! Top 10 pick in the NFL. Unfortunately, he's going pro this year unless an injury happens. Good luck to him. Enjoyed watching him play so much and he's passing the torch to Simon. LSU is stacked at DB

Is Fair Park in the area of town known, I think, as "The Bottoms"? I remember reading a story in a magazine a few years back about a legendary LB recruit from SPort from that area. I think he played at Evangel.

I didn't know that much detail about his life. Thanks for sharing. Seems like a very humble kid. Couldn't be happier with his success and representation of the university.

he is the cousin of ronnie prude. seems to have the right people in his corner helping him make the right choices. he will be a reason a few more kids will come out of that school. alot of athletes come from that school.

A local scout talked about him when he was a senior there and mentioned that part of the reason he wasn't being followed/offered by many schools was because Fair Park didn't have resources to shoot game film therefore there wasn't much of him in high school. LSU was on him but most other big programs didn't have any film because the school couldn't produce it.
Credit to Miles and staff for finding the talent and using their own evaluation regardless of services and other schools.

Mo Claiborne is the best athlete to come to LSU from Fair Park since Stomile Swift.

Yup. I saw him play a few times and REALLY liked him then. Fair Park is a pretty poor school though.

Rough part of town and draws from a poor neighborhood. Think it's Queensborough. The locals have a different name for "Fair Park."

Yes, a three star quarterback. With in three years a 1st round cornerback! It proves that the LSU camps work. Les and his staff does a great job of evaluating talent. A Louisiana three star is better than a four star from most states!

He played WR QB and DB at Fair Park. He was a 1 man team practically. I watched him 1 game pickup a snap that went over his head, make almost everyone on the def miss and score a TD. It went in the stats as 50 or so yard run, but he probably ran for 75 yards on the play making people miss.

fair park is in a terrible part of town. literally sits behind the fair grounds in shreveport. very dangerous part of shreveport. i was really excited to see him come out of this area and even more excited that he has done as well as he has. great story and wish him the best
