What is everyone's opinion of Amedisys?...In terms of how they are as an employer and the long term outlook of the company.

I've been offered a job there, but I've heard mixed things.

I've done some research and it appears they could be in hot water with Federal regulators.

TIA

stay away, IMO...I have plenty of reasons for this but don't have time to write a book.

I know about 15 people that left my company to go there. Probably 5 or 6 have since come back and others are begging to come back as we speak. We just took one back last week.

I know the head of their training Division. Absolutely incredibly bright girl with her undergrad & post-grad degrees from Purdue University.

She's always raved about the place. I also know some lower-level folks within their Accounting Department, but there was a higher churn rate the lower you went down the ladder.

That's an understatement. There is an AMED thread on here from a few weeks ago if you look.

Sounds kind of sketchy according to the MB. I know 2 people that left and went over to LHC. They proffered the culture over AMED but they were not IT FWIW?

I would not want to work there...any company involved in that much fraud will have a negative vibe that trickles down all the way to the janitors.... I've learned to appreciate organiztions that do things for the right reasons..

I've had some of their employees interview with my company begging to leave there (in IT). They used to love their job, but hated it now and were looking to leave.

Amedisys also farms a lot of IT work out to Sparkhound.

RE: Sparkhound...From the horse's mouth, Sparkhound's practices re: paying lots of employees 1099 are under serious scrutiny, BTW.

Lot of people over there from my company as well. Most either leave for Amedisys or Sparkhound. 2 years later they are looking to come back
