It doesnt mean we should also support their stupid decisions off the field.

It would be refreshing for once for a player to accept what they have done and not throw it in the fans face that they "dont support them". What a goddman cop out.

What he said.

Lester, have mathieu or Ware spoke out yet? honest question, i haven't seen quotes of them not accepting what they've done or throwing anything in the fans' face.

Hell, just logically think about it, you think Landry and Beckham are just making those statements with zero basis or reason to do so? Of course not, something happened to get them thinking like that, no?

You have zero clue what kind of stuff they're hearing and reading from random fans on twitter and FB.

And you can bet that alot of this stuff is coming from opposing fanbases.

I think this team is sort of developing an us vs. the world mentality, which isn't necessarily bad, but with the communication lines so fluid via Twitter, Facebook, etc., they could start pissing people off.

No, it's not good when it's with the fanbase. WTF are you even talking about, don't recite some cliche bullshite you probably heard on the radio about a completely different situation.

And it is already starting to piss people off. Whats the point? Validating that your too busy "reading your clippings" than focusing on school or football. Don't worry about us so much.

Seems Landry and Beckham need to be quiet. These cats are off the farm.

They need to understand they all have a responsibility to represent themselves in a somewhat respectful manner.

Oh well, half our fan base celebrates all this stupid shite, the tweets, the mouthing, the chants.

Again, just look at the Rant on any given day for proof.

Whatever dude. LSU fans love LSU football. Two of the best players smoking some trees in the middle of the possibly the best season in Tiger football history, when they know they are gonna get tested, is fricking retarded. Sugar coating it doesn't make you more of a fan.

You are right. Which is why Les should throw the ban hammer on social media for TEAM related matters. They represent LSU, and frankly they are doing it a disservice with all this whining about the fans.

I DONT support any dumb shite behavior that jeopardizes our chances to win a national championship....im tired of people making excuses for these guys cause their "kids" and "we all did that when we were their age!" I call BS on that. I did some crazy stuff in HS/College but my actions werent scrutinized by an entire fanbase nor was anything riding on what I did. This crap has got to stop somewhere. Is there anybody steering this freaking ship or what????

It's their championship, you just get to stand on their shoulders, and celebrate it.

Sorry, I am not going to feel sorry for you. You go to LSU for free. You get help in school because you play football. You get to play in front of 95k people that love you. If you do something wrong, don't twist it and throw it in my face like I dont support LSU football. Did most people make mistakes as a kid? Sure. But i am the man i am today because I owned up to them. Did my parents yell at me and disagree with the things I did? Sure. Did that mean they didnt love me still? No.

Couldn't have said it better myself. You made your bed, now lie in it. I understand kids make mistakes but don't expect fans to condone it simply because you play football at LSU. I'll support the team this weekend just like I always do and I'll support you when you return as part of the team on Nov 5th. Learn from your mistakes.

what people seem to not understand is that it is completely unnecessary for the idiots to be writing on their facebook walls and twitter accounts. that is what all these players are referring to. people have been littering these things all day today. i don't care what they did, that is not something that should come with the territory of dealing with the consequences of your mistakes, and a mistake that is fairly common among 19-20 year olds. these players are still just kids and are going to screw up, but they don't need the entire world letting them know that by way of inflammatory, immature remarks from people that don't even know them. what kind of loser feels the need to do that anyways? honestly

I understand their concern, but who has "turned their back" on the team and all of a sudden not wanted this to succeed?
