Anyone own one or heard anything about them? I've heard that their new model does not require the new urea/emission standard "stuff," unlike the new Powerstroke. I've also heard that their previous models had some transmission issues and was curious if anyone knew if that had been addressed. Any input would be appreciated.

I have a 02 dodge diesel. Love the engine but tranny sucks. Buddy has a 2010 dodge diesel and he likes it. I think it has a six speed tranny and shifts at the right points.

I also have a 08 ram 1500 with the five speed and really like that tranny. Wish my diesel had the new tranny.

I have an 08 with the 6speed auto. It handles all the power additions ive done and oversized wheels and tires very well. Nearly 90k miles on it and still shifts as smootly as the day I drove it off the lot.

my buddy has on 08 superduty and that thing lives in the shop.

It's the best engine dropped in the shittiest truck out of the big 3. I like the dodge because they still offer a manual tranny in the HD models (damn you chevrolet ). I know of nothing but problems with fords since they got away from the 7.3.
