In Tennessee territory with a yard or less twice. Especially on the one inch line. Why isnt he being the mad hatter and going for it?

Because T-Bob was getting pushed back 5 yards almost every snap.

Don't have to score many points with our D this year.

Playing it safe, we are winning, no need to push it if we don't have to.

If we dont get td from one inch line, TN would have a hard time getting out from the endzone, right? Might as well go for it. That might of been right before half tho. Cant remember

confidence in the D to shut them down, he'd have gone for it if it was Bama, Auburn, or Arky in some of those spots.

Miles is playing it extremely conservative and doing just what he has to do in order to win. No style points this year.

It was right before half. TN wasn't going to do shite, and we got ball in the 2nd. I wanted LSU to go for it, too, but understand taking the points

You're positioning yourself for a championship and an undefeated season. You're on the road. Take the sure 3 points, brah.

It was , if I remember, around 30 secs before half. If we don't make it, our D scores 2. Better a guaranteed 3

Trusted the defense and wanted to ensure a two score lead at the half on the first one.

Les' ballsiness is way overblown.

He has a play here and there that is gutsy, but outside of the UF game in 2007, where they were necessary, he's pretty conservative.

The play at UF last year was a higher percentage call than a 53+ yard FG.

That said, he made the right choices no matter how much some of us wanted him to go for the TD at the end of the half.

Just sayin'. I think beating teams an average of 30+ to 10 each game shows that he kinda knows something.
